Colt Ford knows God has given him a second chance after he suffered a heart attack in 2024 in which he flatlined twice.
“God just told me I need to sit down and pay attention to what’s going on around me,” Ford tells FOX News Digital.
“It’s been pretty profound, for sure. It just makes you realize some of the things you think are important or that maybe you were chasing as a younger man or a younger person … they’re not really that important.”
The country music star said he had unhealthy eating habits for years before he finally suffered a heart attack after returning to his tour bus after a show in Arizona in April.
Ford recently returned to work, releasing a new single titled “Hell Out of It.”
Ford announced he was returning to touring this year.
In April, Ford told “Big D & Bubba” he’d just got back to his bus and texted his fiancée as the heart attack began. He’s been in intensive care since the incident and has canceled shows through August.
Ford said he died “multiple times.”
“I had so much trauma in my body and my heart, I had to have three stents put in,” he said.
Doctors told him he had a 0.1 percent chance of living, and all methods used to keep him alive were used. In addition, his gallbladder failed.
