North Alabama men’s basketball clinches ASUN Conference title with win over Queens
North Alabama’s special men’s basketball season added a conference title to its resume on Wednesday night.
The Lions claimed a share of the ASUN Conference regular season title with a 74-69 win over Queens on Wednesday in Florence.
This marks North Alabama’s first team championship in any sport since the program moved to the Division I ranks in 2018.
UNA will serve as the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Conference tournament behind Lipscomb, who tied the Lions atop the league standings but holds the tiebreaker over the UNA. Both teams finished the season at 14-4 in ASUN play.
The Lions will host either Austin Peay or North Florida on Monday in Florence for their opening game in the ASUN Conference tournament.
All games will be played at the school of the higher-seeded team.
