New hotel and restaurant coming to Gulf Shores
Site work is under way and construction will begin soon on a 73-unit Cobblestone Hotel at the corner of Ala. 180 and 20th Avenue in Gulf Shores, according to local developers Eddie Spence and Jim Brown, who own the property. The hotel will feature a Wissota Chophouse restaurant, according to Spence. The hotel will be built by Cobblestone Hotels based in Milwaukee, WI. The hotel will be located on the west side of the land and 15 cottages will be built on the east side,. The cottages will be available for sale.
A local investor paid $1.02 million for 32 single family homes in Dauphin Creek at 1040 Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, according to Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the buyer. Doug Adams of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Cooper & Co., worked for the seller. The buyer plans to renovate the houses and make them available for rent.
Out-of-state investors paid $240,000 for a 2,531-square-foot former Pizza Hut building on 1.17 acres at 4600 Moffett Road in Mobile, according to Crawford Stitt of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the buyers.
A local investor paid $165,000 for the former Advance Auto Parts warehouse at 3003 Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, according to Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties, who represented the seller.
Red’s, a convenience and specialty store, has leased the former Dollar General store at 10800 Dauphin Island Parkway in Theodore, according to Jay O’Brien of Stirling, who handled the transaction.
Local investors purchased the remaining 15 lots in Mobile Commerce Park on Todd Acres Drive in Mobile, according to Pete J.A. Riehm and Allan R. Cameron Jr. of CRE Mobile. The commerce park has a total of 150 acres. The investors plan to develop the lots and offer them for sale.
