Jareah Branch and Blakeley Nixon scored all seven points for Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa in the final five minutes and the top-ranked Patriots rallied late for a 51-49 victory over No. 4 Bob Jones in Tuesday’s Class 7A Northwest Regional final at Wallace State’s Traditions Bank Arena.

“A lot of credit to these girls and their team,” Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa coach Nick Browder said. “It means a lot to these girls that have been in these positions before. If you want to win a regional final in 7A, it’s going to be tough. We did a good job of exploiting matchups.”
