28-year-old woman killed, other driver injured in Bibb County wreck

A 28-year-old woman was killed and another person was injured in a crash Sunday night in Bibb County, authorities said Monday.

Ladeira N. Scott, 28, of Cedar Point, was driving a 2008 Honda Accord around 7:42 p.m. Sunday when her vehicle was struck by a 2010 Mazda CX-9 on State Route 5, about six miles north of Brent, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Gregory Corble.

Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda was injured and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Further information on the crash was unavailable as troopers continued investigating the wreck.
