Fort Payne’s Zimri and Zoie Craig combined for more than half of their team’s scoring as the seventh-ranked Wildcats rallied quickly in the second half and surged ahead for a 53-38 victory over No. 8 Homewood in Monday’s Class 6A Northeast Regional semifinal at Jacksonville State’s Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Fort Payne (26-5) shot out to an 8-2 lead as Zoie Craig knocked down a pair of triples, followed by a layup at 4:53 mark of the opening period. The Wildcats closed out the quarter with a 3-pointer from Zimri Craig and another layup from (Zoie) Craig, and carried a 15-11 advantage into the second.
