LeBron James is closing in on the all-time points record set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and ticket prices are reflecting that. James and the Los Angeles Lakers head to New Orleans to face the Pelicans on Saturday. Tickets are available at Vivid Seats, StubHub and Seat Geek.
Abdul-Jabbar’s record stands at 38,387 points. James needs 63 points to break the record.
Here’s where to get last-minute seats:
Vivid Seats has tickets for as low as $42 each.
StubHub has seats for as low as $45.
Seat Geek has tickets as low as $97.
New Orleans will try to break its five-game home slide when the Pelicans take on Los Angeles. Saturday’s meeting will be the second of the season between the two teams. New Orleans is 16-14 against the Western Conference, and Los Angeles is 12-17 against conference opponents.
Luka Doncic scored 31 points before leaving with a right heel injury, and the Dallas Mavericks held on without their All-Star for a 111-106 victory over New Orleans. The travel-weary Pelicans lost their 10th consecutive game. The Pelicans thought a chance to tie in the final seconds was taken away when officials made errors on an inbound play. Crew chief Kevin Scott acknowledged the errors after the game. New Orleans arrived on the day of the game because wintry weather in Dallas had the team stuck in Denver for two nights.
