2025 NASCAR Cup Series championship odds and season props

After a short offseason, the NASCAR Cup schedule brings us an extensive run of excitement, and ups and downs. Maintaining consistency over 36 races is a significant challenge for even the best drivers.

Winning the Cup Series championship is about getting hot at the right time, which is what Joey Logano did last season on the way to winning his third championship. Three of his four wins came during the playoffs, with two victories earned during the final two rounds. He edged Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney for a tight win at Phoenix to win the title.

Logano prevented Blaney from becoming the first repeat Cup champion since Jimmie Johnson reeled off his fifth consecutive title win in 2010. The No. 22 Ford driver will be hard-pressed to pull off the feat himself in 2025 with Blaney, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell among the prime contenders to take the crown this season.

The championship futures odds will continually shift during the long season ahead, so you may see some top drivers become better values if they start slowly.

Yet it is also a good time to wager on longer shots early in case their odds shorten later in the year. For now, we take an updated look at 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds and Season Props, which you can jump on immediately on DraftKings Sportsbook.

NASCAR Cup Series championship favorites

While we are a long way from the climax of the 2025 playoffs, you can be pretty confident that Larson and Bell, who are tied for the best odds at +550, will have a good shot of earning a spot in the Championship 4.

Last season, Larson led all drivers with six wins and he missed the final four. You can be assured that the 2021 Cup Series champion will be determined to make a strong push to get back into the final title mix this year.

Bell is still likely feeling the frustration of losing out on a Championship 4 appearance because of an illegal wall maneuver penalty at Martinsville. He won three races last year and led for 1.145 laps, which were second-most in the Cup Series.

This could be the year when Bell can get to the Championship 4 for the third time in four seasons and close the championship deal.

You don’t want to wager on just one driver to take the title. Larson and Bell are strong wagering options now and should remain among the drivers with the shortest odds throughout the season.

Byron (+600) was another three-race winner last season. But all of his victories came early, although he did manage to claim a spot in the Championship 4. He was a title favorite last season and has finished third in points in each of the last two years.

Blaney is the best value of the top four at +650, after coming within 0.330 seconds of a second straight championship at Phoenix. He finished the 2024 campaign with three consecutive top two showings and logged five top fives during the playoffs. Blaney saved his best form for late in the season and should be back in the Championship 4 again.

NASCAR Cup Series championship contenders

Hamlin (+750) is still without a championship at age 44. He has lost longtime standout crew chief Chris Gabehart, a factor which could prevent him from earning the elusive title this season.

Logano (+850) surged when it counted most last season, but inconsistency was a concern. He placed outside the top 30 eight times, compared to seven top five finishes. Recent history dictates he is not a strong candidate to repeat as Cup champion.

Reddick (+850) is the guy to target beyond the top five on the odds ladder. He established career marks in top five finishes (12), top 10 showings (21) and laps led (597). Reddick won three races, took three poles and made it into the Championship 4 for the first time. He won the regular season championship last year and may be poised for a big step forward in 2025.

Chase Elliott (+1100) is very capable of getting back into the championship picture. He should be a playoff lock but needs to rediscover his best form late in the season. Beyond Elliott, any other drivers don’t appear to be worthy of a serious championship futures wager right now.

NASCAR Cup Series season wins props

Cup Series wins props are easy and fun to bet on. You can wager on drivers of all levels of contention. Here are some of our favorites for the 2025 season on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Christopher Bell Over 3.5 Wins on DraftKings Sportsbook (-110): He has eight wins in the last three seasons and should get to a new career high of four while making his championship push.

Denny Hamlin Under 3.5 Wins (-150): The odds here reflect some skepticism that he will win three times for the third consecutive season with the crew chief change.

William Byron Over 3.5 Wins (-105): In 2023, Byron won six times, and he can get past the projected victory total with more consistency this season.

Carson Hocevar Over 0.5 Wins (+150): He won the Rookie of the Year Award last season and is a viable candidate to notch a first Cup victory in 2025.

Michael McDowell Over 0.5 Wins (+150): He is always fun to wager on at superspeedways, and McDowell might challenge for a win on a road course, too.
