President Donald Trump took some time to walk the field of the Caesars Superdome on Sunday prior to the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Chiefs star defensive lineman Chris Jones took the time to seek out Trump and shake his hand.

Jones, according to Fox News, has been known to get emotional during the playing of the national anthem.
“Quick story,” he told Fox News. “I was watching the movie ‘300.’ One of my favorite movies, you know? Right before they go into battle, you have some like, crying, because they’re so mad. They’re going to war.
“In a sense of playing football, I actually go into that mindframe, like, I might not make it home tonight – knowing I’m going to make it home, but knowing I’m going to war. It’s going to get bloody. It’s going to get physical. I might not make it out. I might make it out. So in the midst of the national anthem, I have to put myself in that mindframe.”
Trump thinks Kansas City will win, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes the difference-maker. Trump says in a pregame interview with Fox News Channel’s Brett Baier that “I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City.”
Trump spent a few minutes on the field before he headed to his suite to watch the game with lawmakers and family members.
