Sen. Katie Britt applauds Trump’s creation of faith office, targeting of ‘anti-Christian bias’

U.S. Sen. Katie Britt, R-Alabama, voiced support this weekend for President Donald Trump’s creation of the White House Faith Office and his effort to fight “anti-Christian bias.”

“Gone are the days of a DOJ weaponized against Christians practicing their faith,” Britt posted on X Saturday about Trump’s faith-based executive orders. “Gone are the days of a Department of Education failing to protect Jews on college campuses. We have an administration that respects and upholds religious liberty again. Thank you, @POTUS.”

An order establishing a task force within the Department of Justice to “protect the religious freedoms of Americans and end the anti-Christian weaponization of government” was issued on Thursday. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi will lead the task force.

Trump signed another executive order on Friday establishing the White House Faith Office that will promote faith-based initiatives and support faith-based organizations in communities. The office will be headed by Paula White-Cain, who also serves as Trump’s spiritual adviser.

“We are one nation under God,” Britt posted about the order. “President Trump is ensuring Americans are free to practice their faith without fearing persecution—something our Founding Fathers wanted for the greatest nation on earth.”

Britt retweeted a post from Daily Caller that said the order would “complement” other presidential actions, including the establishment of the “anti-Christian bias” eradication task force.
