Bills addressing the Madison County sheriff’s pay, prenatal care and “gas station drugstores” are among the legislation sponsored by Huntsville area lawmakers this legislative session.

“While I will sponsor a number of bills, SB 1 is my primary goal,” District 7 State Sen. Sam Givhan said of this year’s session of the Alabama Legislature, which began Feb. 4.
