Grocery store chain recalling brand of chicken nuggets due to bone fragments

New York-based grocer Wegman’s is issuing a public health alert for its brand of frozen, fully cooked chicken nuggets in multiple states because there may be bone fragments in the packages.

The purpose of the alert, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is to ensure that consumers are aware the product should not be consumed. USDA did not request a full recall because the product is no longer available for purchase.

The public health notice extends to 46oz packages of Wegmans FYFGA Chicken Breast Nuggets with the UPC number 0-77890-25210-9 and a Best if Used By of August 26, 2025.

According to the announcement from Wegman’s patrons who have the chicken nuggets may return the product for a full refund.
