Auburn High offensive lineman Aidan Platt commits to in-state program

A member of an impressive Auburn High offense will be keeping his talents in the state of Alabama.

Auburn High offense lineman Aidan Platt announced his commitment to UAB on Sunday afternoon ahead of National Signing Day.

He also held offers that include Alabama A&M, Austin Peay and West Georgia.

Platt was part of an Auburn offense that scored 44.7 points per game last season, which ranked atop Class 7A and No. 13 in the state of Alabama.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman graded well over 90% as part of a strong Auburn offensive line and was a selection for the AHSAA North-South All-Star Game.

He’ll join a 2025 recruiting class for UAB that includes fellow in-state commits in Hueytown cornerback JuQuarius Brooks and Vestavia Hills kicker Owen Simpson.
