Arrest made in fatal shooting of 26-year-old clerk at north Alabama gas station
An arrest has been made in connection to the shooting death of a gas station clerk in Harvest.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said Jahree Daiquan Williams, 21, is charged with murder in connection to the death of Taylor Boldosser North, 26. The shooting occurred Sunday night just before 8 p.m. on Feb. 1 at the Circle K store at 1006 Harvest Road.
According to officials, North was at work at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead on the scene. Witnesses said a man entered the business, walked up to the counter and shot the clerk. Williams was located a short distance away from the scene and was taken in for questioning and later charged
Preliminary findings suggest the incident appears isolated, officials added.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the North family during this incredibly difficult time. We are dedicated to pursuing justice and bringing them the closure they deserve,” Sheriff Kevin Turner said in a statement.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
