A shooting at a north Alabama barbecue restaurant left a man dead early Saturday, according to officials.

Around 12:12 a.m., officers arrived to Nash BBQ on 12th Avenue Northwest in Decatur to investigate reports of a shooting.

According to a release from the department, a man suffering gunshot wounds was transported to the hospital where he later died.

“This is believed to be an isolated incident,” the release said. “The investigation is ongoing at this time.”
