Homicide investigation underway after Mobile man found dead in water under I-10 bridge
A 33-year-old Mobile man has been identified as the body found Wednesday in the lower Delta under the I-10 bridge in Baldwin County, state lawmen said Thursday.
The death of Donald Neece has been labeled a homicide, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation.
Neece’s body was found around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the lower Delta near Spanish Fort by troopers with ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division.
The Mobile man’s vehicle was taken from the scene, investigators determined.
The SBI identified someone they deemed as a person of interest in Neece’s death.
Florida authorities are helping the SBI in locating the slain Mobile man’s vehicle and the person of interest, the agency said.
Anyone with information about the investigation was asked to call the SBI’s Mobile Office at 251-850-0005.
