This up-and-coming Alabama band is headlining the Auburn Rodeo

The Auburn Rodeo has announced that one of the hottest music acts to come out of Alabama in recent years will top its 2025 lineup.

The annual rodeo-slash-festival takes place April 12. The newly revealed lineup features the Red Clay Strays, a Mobile-based rock group that had a huge breakout year in 2024, as headliner. The roster also features Zach Top, Cameron Whitcomb, Maggie Antone and Gabriella Rose. (The Strays also will headline the same lineup at the Georgia Rodeo in Winterville, Ga., on April 11.)

The Red Clay Strays are a hot ticket after a year that saw them perform a three-night stand at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, release the studio album “Made By These Moments” on RCA, earn a CMA nomination for Vocal Group of the Year and win the honor of Top Country Duo/Group at the Billboard Music Awards. They also released a live album from their Ryman shows and, more recently, were featured on NPR’s “Tiny Desk” showcase.

The rodeo adds another home-state date to the band’s calendar for the year. The Strays also will headline a three-day stand at the Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach during the July 4 weekend.

The Auburn Rodeo takes place at Sistrunk Farms in Auburn and is presented by Premier Productions. It’s billed as “The Rowdiest Party in the SEC” with tailgating, rodeo and concert, and as “a celebration of community, heritage and unforgettable entertainment.” According to promotional materials, organizers plan on “keeping the spirit of Auburn alive by adjusting our concert set times to let you experience both A-Day festivities and the Rodeo.”

Presales have begun; general public ticket sales begin Friday, Jan. 24, with tickets available via www.theauburnrodeo.com/tickets. General admission tickets start at $79.99, VIP at $179.99.
