Former Alabama tight end headed to Texas A&M, reports say

Former Alabama tight end Amari Niblack is on the move again, though he’s staying in the SEC and in the state of Texas.

Niblack, who played for the Crimson Tide in 2022-23, has committed to Texas A&M, according to multiple reports. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native transferred from Alabama to Texas after the 2023 season.

Niblack caught 20 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns for the Crimson Tide in 2023, but was decidedly less-productive with the Longhorns. Playing behind second-team All-SEC tight end Gunnar Helm, he caught just five passes for 33 yards in nine games in 2024.

Texas A&M is not scheduled to face Alabama in 2025, but does play Texas in the final game of the regular season.
