3 people shot to death on I-10 in Mobile, police say

A shooting in Mobile on Saturday night resulted in the deaths of three people, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to the department, officers responded to Interstate 10 East and Theodore Dawes Road on a person shot call at about 7:35 p.m.

Officers discovered three people were shot. The victims subsequently died as a result of the injuries at the scene, according to a spokesperson for the department.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims suffering life threatening gun shot wounds who died on scene due to their injuries,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said an investigation is still being conducted into the shooting and more information will be released later.

The triple homicide comes less than 24 hours after a shooting left two men dead in the 7500 block of Newcombe Drive in Theodore.

Jimmetrious Wilson, 24, and Tristian Williams, 41, were found dead when Mobile police officers were called to the scene around 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

According to police, Wilson assaulted Williams, then Williams shot Wilson in retaliation.

Officers said a known female suspect, who is not being identified at this time, then shot Williams.
