Alabama prep basketball performances you may have missed from recent action

Here are seven performances you may have missed from recent Alabama high school basketball action:

Sarah Davis, Shoals Christian (girls): Davis piled on 39 points, 18 rebounds and seven blocks in a game against Waterloo, also posting a triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 14 steals against Cherokee County. She currently leads the AHSAA with 27.4 points per game.

Tyler Robertson, Calhoun (boys): Robertson finished with a season-high 42 points against Class 6A Stanhope Elmore, adding nine rebounds, four assists and four steals in the 75-70 loss. The junior also posted a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-54 win over Luverne.

Heaven Bailey, Montgomery Catholic (girls): Bailey has established herself as a force this season as a sophomore, leading the AHSAA with 7.5 steals per game. She grabbed a season-high 20 steals against G.W. Long this season, which ranks second in AHSAA history behind Speake’s Wanda McDaniel (25, 1992). She finished with 11 steals against Booker T. Washington last week to add to her total.

Noah Lee, Jacksonville Christian (boys): One of the top rebounders in the state, Lee piled up a career-high 34 rebounds on Thursday in a 64-50 win over Class 1A, Area 12 foe Gaylesville. The mark is now second in AHSAA history for most rebounds in a boys’ basketball game, behind Chuck Pearson who had 29 in 2981 against Kinston; Lee also added 23 points in the win over Gaylesville.

Reece Davis, Deshler (girls): The sophomore Auburn commit scored 30 points for Class 4A No. 3 Deshler in a 79-43 win over Central Florence last week, surpassing the 1,500-point mark for her career; she also added six rebounds, six assists and five steals in the win. Davis scored 27 points against Brooks and added 31 against Wilson on Tuesday.

Bailey Henry, Washington County (boys): Henry knocked down six 3-point baskets in the second quarter and finished with 21 points as Washington County earned a Class 2A, Area 1 win over St. Luke’s Episcopal. The six triples tied the AHSAA record for 3-pointers in a single quarter; he joins Plainview’s Cole Millican (2021 vs. Fyffe) and Hayden’s Carson Purkey (2024 vs. J.B. Pennington) atop the leaderboard.

Shila Marks, Lauderdale County (girls): Marks finished with 17 points against Tennessee state champion Loretto after getting fouled and hitting a pair of free throws to seal the win; she also scored 21 in a 62-30 victory over Class 3A, Area 16 foe Clements last Thursday.
