Legendary country music group not retiring quite yet

The Oak Ridge Boys are not cutting back on tour dates. They are adding them.

The iconic country music group, which made plans to retire in 2023 after their American Made: Farewell Tour concluded in December of 2024, announced additional tour dates in 2025 on Tuesday (Jan. 14).

“We’ve had so much fun touring from city to city and getting to see everyone,” singer William Lee Golden shared in a press release, per Taste of Country. “The response we received from the new album has been wonderful and we hope you love it as much as we do. Keep checking our website as new dates will be added soon!”

The group released the most recent album, “Mama’s Boys,” in November of 2024.

The Oak Ridge Boys have been in the headlines in the past year.

Singer Joe Bonsall died at age of 76 in July due to complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Duane Allen, lead singer of the Oak Ridge Boys, lost his wife, singer Norah Lee Allen, who died on March 31 at age 76. The couple had been married for nearly 55 years.

Also in July, William Lee Golden mourned the death of his son William Lee Golden Jr., known as “Rusty.”
