Madison County will soon be taking applications for a vacant district court judge position.

Applications can be submitted to the county’s judicial commission starting Jan. 21, according to a county news release. The applications are available now in the office of Court Administrator Kim McKoy, Room 327 of the Madison County Courthouse in Huntsville.

The seat opened after Judge Don Rizzardi was elected circuit court judge for Alabama’s 23rd Judicial District in the November election.
