Auburn football gets transfer commitment from former Sam Houston State defensive end
Auburn football made another move up front Sunday night, getting a commitment from former Sam Houston State defensive end Chris Murray.
Murray announced his commitment in a post on social media, choosing the Tigers over Florida State.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive end tallied 35 tackles, five and half sacks and two forced fumbles in 2024 and totaled 34 quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.
Murray started his career at TCU before spending three seasons with Sam Houston State. With his addition, it gives Auburn some more experience at the BUCK position after the departure of Jalen McLeod.
With Murray in the room, Auburn has a relatively deep group with returners Keyron Crawford and Jamonta Waller and true freshman Jared Smith joining Murray.
