A Goodwater man died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Coosa County.

Lt. Jeremy Burkett with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash happened at about 2:19 a.m. on Coosa County 70 near Coosa County 41, approximately seven miles south of Sylacauga.

Brian A. Combest, 28, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup which left the roadway and struck several trees.

Combest was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Burkett said.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
