‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 17: How to watch, where to stream free
Season 17 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is scheduled to premiere on MTV Friday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c.
Season 17 of Drag Race will feature 14 queens vying for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and a cash prize of $200,000. The cast includes Acacia Forgot (Los Angeles, CA), Arrietty (Seattle, WA), Crystal Envy (Asbury Park, NJ), Hormona Lisa (Chattanooga, TN), Jewels Sparkles (Tampa, FL), Joella (Los Angeles, CA), Kori King (Boston, MA), Lana Ja’Rae (New York, NY), Lexi Love (Louisville, KY), Lucky Starzzz (Miami, FL), Lydia B Kollins (Pittsburgh, PA), Onya Nurve (Cleveland, OH), Sam Star (Leeds, AL), and Suzie Toot (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
It was recently announced that this season’s guest judges will include the likes of Katy Perry, Doechii, Sandra Bernhard, Julia Schlaepfer, Paul W. Downs, Hunter Schafer, Quinta Brunson, Jamal Sims, Law Roach, Adam Lambert, Betsey Johnson, Whitney Cummings, Sam Smith, Jerrod Carmichael, June Diane Raphael and Tracee Ellis Ross.
According to MTV, this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race will also feature a new twist called, “The Badonka Dunk Tank.” Following the lipsync, each eliminated queen has a chance to receive immunity and save themselves from having to sashay away. Queens will choose from 10 levers and if they pick one of the two levers that dunks Michelle, they get to remain in the competition. If not, they will be eliminated.

Where to stream live:
Although premiering on MTV, those without basic cable can still live stream the season 17 premiere of on Friday with Philo, Fubo or DirecTV Stream.
While all three live streaming services offer free trials for new subscribers, Philo is the cheaper option at $28 a month after its 7-day free trial. It also allows you to watch previous episodes on-demand and record future episodes.
Where to stream on-demand:
During season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, new episodes did not hit Paramount+ until after the season finale episode aired. Unfortunately, the same can probably be expected for season 17.

Fuboalso comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.
What is DirecTV Stream?
DirecTV Stream is similar to Fubo as it offers many of the same channels and features. At $101.98 a month after its free trial, the base package comes with a little over 90 live TV channels.
