Pro Bowl Games rosters include 11 with Alabama football roots

Eleven players from Alabama high schools and colleges have been selected for the Pro Bowl Games for the NFL’s 2024 season. Ten of the all-stars are former Crimson Tide players.

The Pro Bowlers with Alabama roots for this season include:

  • Detroit Lions strong safety Brian Branch (Alabama)
  • Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (Clay-Chalkville)
  • Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson (Alabama)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama)
  • Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs (Alabama)
  • Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (Alabama)
  • Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey (Hoover, Alabama)
  • Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (Alabama)
  • Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (Alabama)
  • Green Bay Packers free safety Xavier McKinney (Alabama)
  • Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (Alabama)

Fitzpatrick, Henry, Jeudy and Surtain were selected as AFC starters. Dickerson and McKinney were selected as NFC starters.

Branch, Collins, Gibbs, Jeudy and McKinney are first-time Pro Bowlers.

Dickerson, Surtain and Jacobs were selected for the third time. For Dickerson and Surtain, those selections have come in each of the past three seasons.

Fitzpatrick and Henry also were chosen for the third consecutive season as both reached five Pro Bowl selections for their careers.

Humphrey was picked for the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in six seasons.

The choices made by fans, players and coaches counted one-third apiece toward determining the Pro Bowl Games rosters for the AFC and NFC teams.

The 7-on-7 flag football game featuring the Pro Bowl players will be held on Feb. 2 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, as the culmination of a multi-day AFC vs. NFC competition in which all-stars will demonstrate their football and non-football skills in a variety of competitions.
