Alabama football snaps 10-win season streak in 2024

Alabama football not only lost to Michigan on Tuesday, but the Crimson Tide also snapped its 10-win season streak.

Alabama fell to 9-4 with the 19-13 loss to the Wolverines at Raymond James Stadium in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

The last time Alabama didn’t reach 10 wins was 2007: Nick Saban’s first season as coach. That snaps a 16-season streak.

Saban retired in January, and Kalen DeBoer took over as coach. DeBoer tallied some good wins and some bad losses in his first season. DeBoer and the Crimson Tide beat Georgia, Missouri and LSU, but Alabama also lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, and the loss to Michigan, with a bunch of Wolverine players who opted out, also ranks as one of the worst of the season. The loss to the Sooners essentially kept the Crimson Tide out of the College Football Playoff.
