Alabama’s start against Michigan laughable as social media reacts
2025 can’t get here soon enough for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Thanks to a slow start, a deluge of rain and a comedy of errors, Kalen DeBoer’s team started the game in reverse and trailing Michigan 16-0 in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa.
The first-quarter numbers were as baffling as anything we’ve seen in college football this season. That’s saying something in the age of NIL, the transfer portal and an expanded CFP.
The Tide trailed after the first quarter 16-0, but that wasn’t the worst of it.
Alabama ran 15 plays for -2 yards. Three fumbles. Two were lost. An interception was added to the mix. Jalen Milroe had three turnovers alone.
Quite the statement from a team many felt should have been included in the CFP.
Social media certainly had something to say about the abysmal start for the Tide.
