Class 7A No. 10 Enterprise slipped past 5A No. 1 Ramsay 47-45 on Day 1 of the 42nd annual Huntsville City Classic at Huntsville High School on Thursday as the Rams’ last-second shot to try to force overtime missed the mark.

This year’s Huntsville City Classic features 16 teams from across the state. Defending champion Huntsville defeated last season’s runner-up, Austin, 67-53 in the final game of the night. The 61-60 win in 2023 was the Crimson Panthers’ first championship in the Classic since 1985 – the third year of the event. Play will continue in two gymnasiums at Huntsville High School through Saturday.
