Ex-Alabama defensive lineman Hunter Osborne commits to ACC school

Former Alabama defensive lineman Hunter Osborne has committed to Virginia, he announced Monday.

Osborne, a redshirt freshman from Trussville, played in four games and totaled three tackles for the Crimson Tide in 2024. He has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Osborne was a four-star recruit in the 2023 signing class out of Hewitt-Trussville High School. He joins Damon Payne (who committed to Michigan) and Jehiem Oatis (Colorado) as defensive linemen who have transferred away from Alabama in the current portal cycle.
