A man died in a crash in rural Mobile County early this morning, officials said.

Officials with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said the man was driving along Salco Road in Chunchula when the vehicle hit a power pole at about 6:30 a.m. His identify has not been released.

Multiple power lines were knocked down.

Salco Road has been closed to traffic attempting to enter from Celeste Road until the damage is cleared.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency will be leading the investigation into the wreck.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
