Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Darron Reed Jr. announced his plans to enter the transfer portal Wednesday night in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

He spent two seasons at Auburn, appearing in the Music City Bowl in 2023 and playing in two games in the 2024 season. Reed did not record a stat during his Auburn career.

Ranked as four-star prospect by On3, ESPN and 247Sports in the 2023 recruiting class, Reed finished with eight sacks and 33 total tackles in his senior season at Carver High School in Georgia.
