The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory at 8:17 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Wednesday at 4 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.

The weather service comments, “Visibility reductions of one mile or less in locally dense fog.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” states the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
