A longtime member of the Mobile County Commission and a former Mobile City Council member is the first person to officially file paperwork with the Alabama Secretary of State’s office for a run at the Mobile mayor’s seat in 2025.

Commissioner Connie Hudson officially filed on Dec. 6, the appointment of a principal campaign committee for a mayoral run in 2025. She then filed a $158,207 cash transfer on Dec. 12, from her county commission campaign account to her newly formed mayoral committee.
