Alabama football tight end withdraws name from transfer portal
Alabama football managed to bring back one of its pieces it was set to lose.
Danny Lewis, a tight end, will withdraw his name from the transfer portal, his agent Hunter Kirsch of Lionheart Sports Agency told AL.com.
Lewis didn’t start for Alabama this season, but him withdrawing his name is significant for a team needing help at tight end. Alabama is set to lose CJ Dippre and Robbie Ouzts, both seniors, as their eligibility expires. Josh Cuevas will be back, and Lewis returning gives Alabama another tight end with multiple years of experience in the program.
The transfer portal has been open for about a week and will remain open for about two more weeks.
