In more than a month, Donald Trump will return to the White House. And Alabama Republicans will largely cheer.

But Trump is already talking about heavy tariffs in his second term, aimed largely at China, Mexico and Canada, among others. And the last time Trump levied high tariffs, he got a surprising amount of pushback from Alabama, one of the reddest states in his column.
