Noted Birmingham meteorologist James Spann of ABC 33/40 has released his forecast for Saturday’s Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama hosts Auburn at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the 77th modern Iron Bowl. It appears fans attending the game in person will need to dress warmly.

“The weather will be cold and dry Saturday in Tuscaloosa for this year’s Iron Bowl,” Spann wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “… The sky will be mostly sunny, and temperatures will drop from near 48 at kickoff to near 40 by the final whistle.”

For those unwilling or unable to brave the chilly conditions, Saturday’s Iron Bowl airs live on ABC.
