AHSAA swimming: Huntsville, Scottsboro boys, Bob Jones, Westminster girls win titles
Huntsville High School senior swimmer Luke Bedsole closed out his prep swimming career setting another record Saturday night as the 65th AHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships concluded at Huntsville Aquatics Center.
Bedsole, who set one record Friday in the 50-yard freestyle finals, won the 100-yard freestyle race Saturday with a record 43.72 finish. Just like Friday’s record, the mark he broke was one he had already established in last year’s state meet. He won the 2023 100-yard free style event at 43.96. Saturday’s time bested that record by 24/100ths of a second.
