Pedestrian, 65, fatally struck in Walker County
A 65-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car in Walker County.
Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Monroe S. Wressler Jr. He lived in Cordova.
The wreck happened at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday on Alabama 5, about three miles north of Dora.
Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said Wressler was struck by a Toyota Prius driven by 41-year-old Justin M. Dodd of Tuscaloosa.
Wressler was pronounced dead on the scene.
