Man killed in I-10 motorcycle wreck in Mobile

A 29-year-old man died when he was struck by multiple vehicles after wrecking his motorcycle early Monday morning on I-10 in Mobile, police said.

Mobile police officers responded to the scene of the incident around 6 a.m. Monday on I-10 eastbound between I-65 and Dauphin Island Parkway, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier.

There, officers found 29-year-old Christopher Means in the middle lane of eastbound I-10. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation showed Means was riding his motorcycle southbound on the I-65 ramp to eastbound I-10, when he lost control of the vehicle, said Frazier.

Means was thrown from the motorcycle before being struck by multiple vehicles.

Only one driver involved in the incident remained on the scene, Frazier said.

Police urged anyone who was in the area or thinks they may have been involved in the accident to call traffic homicide investigator Colton Futral at 251-208-1272.

The investigation was ongoing as of late Monday afternoon.
