Georgia student crushes Pat McAfee’s kick contest for cool $800K

Pat McAfee made a deal with Georgia student Henry Silver.

The “GameDay” analyst said he would double the winnings Saturday for the weekly kicking contest, but Silver only gets one shot.

As it turned out, that was fine for Silver, an Indiana native who camped out since 6 p.m. Friday.

The prize was originally $150,000, but, since two students were splitting, McAfee decided to raise it to $200,000. Each would walk away with $100,000. Plus, the former NFL kicker would donate $200,000 for hurricane relief.

“Here in Athens, Georgia, it would beautiful if $400,000 would be up for grabs,” McAfee said. “Why don’t we double it? So, $800,000 kick here, Henry.”

That’s $400,000 for hurricane relief, and $200,000 each for Silver and Belle Sessions.

As it turned out Sessions won the chance to kick, but made a deal with Slver.

“I knew I couldn’t do, but he said he could, so we’re splitting it,” she said.

Best decision Sessions has ever made. Silver crushed the 33-yard field goal.
