Two St. Paul’s turnovers in the first 79 seconds of the game and another dominant performance by junior quarterback Jordan Holmes propelled Pike Road to a convincing 44-6 win and a spot in the Class 6A quarterfinals.

Holmes scored on three consecutive carries to end the second quarter and begin the third. The scores came from 2, 79 and 56 yards. Despite having only four carries in the second half and none in the final 11 minutes, Holmes finished with 240 rushing yards on 15 attempts. He also completed two passes for 48 yards and another touchdown.
