An Ohio man was killed was killed earlier today in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Jefferson County.

Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as James Aaron Christopher Lusk. He was 57.

The wreck happened at 12:55 p.m. Thursday on I-65, about a mile north of Birmingham.

Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Lusk was driving a 2025 Nissan Rogue when he left the interstate and hit a concrete barrier. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
