Barenaked Ladies playing Tuscaloosa: How to get tickets
Barenaked Ladies will perform at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater this summer, so you have a little more than, uh, one week to buy a ticket.
Along with Five for Fighting and Del Amitri, they will make a stop on the “Last Summer on Earth 2023 Tour” Wednesday, June 28.
Tickets will cost $29.50, $49.50, $59.50 and $89.50. They go on sale Friday. Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. You can purchase via Ticketmaster or at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater box office.
Rooted in Ontario, Canada, Barenaked Ladies formed in 1988 and gained fame in 1992 behind their debut studio album “Gordon” featuring the songs “If I Had $100000″ and “Brian Wilson.”
Their 1998 album “Stunt” catapulted them to mainstream success thanks to the mega-hit single “One Week,” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album also featured the songs “It’s All Been Done” and “Call and Answer.”
The band has two Grammy nominations, for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group (”One Week”) and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal (“Pinch Me”).
They have continued to write and record new music, with their most recent album “Detour de Force” releasing in 2021.
The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater currently has five events booked for 2023:
