Tennessee man killed in north Alabama crash

A Tennessee man died in a crash in north Alabama on Friday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Richard L. Taylor, 41, was driving a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that crashed near Meridianville in Madison County, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Taylor was from Kelso, Tennessee.

The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. on Walker Lane near Jimmy Fisk Road, state troopers said.

The Wrangler struck a fire hydrant and a fence, then overturned, said Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey. Taylor was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
