There are 26 teams in the opening round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association state playoffs this week that have only one loss. Twenty-five of them are 9-1, with Pleasant Grove entering the postseason at 8-1.

Just one of those teams is on the road to begin the tournament – Guntersville. The Wildcats are 9-1 with only a 42-35 loss to Region 8 foe Boaz marring what could have been a perfect season.
