The change the Alabama High School Athletic Association made in the Class 7A playoff bracket makes for some intriguing first-round matchups involving Coastal Alabama teams.

In all, 32 Coastal Alabama teams made the playoffs in 2024. That includes four teams in the Alabama Independent School Association.
