Man shot, flags down trooper for help on Birmingham’s Dead Man’s Curve
An investigation is underway after a man was shot while in his vehicle in east Birmingham.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday.
The victim stopped for help on Interstate 59/20 near Dead Man’s Curve. He found an Alabama State Trooper who was at road work site.
Troopers notified Birmingham police, who responded to the scene and determined the shooting happened in the 8600 block of First Avenue North. Police said it wasn’t immediately clear if he was driving or stopped when he was shot.
The victim was transported to UAB Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening, said Sgt. LaQuitta Wade.
No arrests have been made.
