Voters in Madison, Limestone counties face choices in several local races

A handful of local races will be contested this Election Day in Madison and Limestone counties, with many Republican incumbents and candidates for county offices, judgeships and school board seats facing no opposition.

In Madison County, voters have a choice in five of the six county commission races as well as the contest for the at-large commission chair and for judge of probate. Republican Craig W. Hill is unopposed in his re-election bid in District 3. Only two commission seats in Limestone County are up for election this year.
