The National Weather Service issued an updated dense fog advisory at 3:54 a.m. on Saturday valid for Saturday between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. for Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega counties.

The weather service states, “Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” comments the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
